Israel Self-Defense News

Basic story about the continuing action.

Comprehensive info of surrounding topics.

In the line of fire in Sderot. In the city of Sderot in Israel, you have only 15 seconds to respond to missile warnings. These attacks occur daily.

The Israel vs Hamas is not hard to understand: if someone attacks you, then you fight back. Why is the MSM so stupid that they can't understand this simple concept?

Atlas Shrugs has an excellent series of articles about the situation: pro-Hamas terrorist rallies, more pro-Hamas terrorist rallies.

The Hamas muslim terrorists shoot more rockets into Israel - at Beersheba this time. This is the first time that rockets have reached this city, 40km from Gaza. Ashdod residents are in shock at being targeted.

A newspaper in UAE is disputing Hamas' claim to legitimacy, saying that Hamas is Iran's tool in disrupting the region.

Netanyahu pleading Israel's case before the world.

While Israel fights in Gaza, Egypt and Saudi Arabia take on Iran. It seems that Gaza is just a small part of a larger conflict between two factions of Islam.

Hamas muslim terrorists breach Egyptian border and spark a gun battle.

While continuing their pathetic pseudo-victims' bleat, the Hamas muslim terrorists are hiding their gunmen in hospitals and put their launching pads in increasingly densely populated areas. Murderous savages.

News Roundup 2008-12-31

A new lawsuit has been filed over Obama's citizenship and eligibility to be President. This one is from a military officer who wants to know if any orders received are constitutional. And yet another lawsuit has been filed, this time as an interpleader action (whatever that is).

New twist in Mumbai terrorist attacks: Pakistani terrorist group commander admits role in aiding Mumbai terrorists.

City employees in Grants Pass, Oregon decline pay raises.

Anti-AGW corner: More evidence has been found correlates sunspot activity with global temperature fluctuations. Irish Minister for the Environment thinks that AGW is a con.

Deja vu all over again? Iranians storm British embassy, Jordanian embassy and firebomb Saudi Airlines offices. Arch-representatives of the religion of "peace".

More evidence debunking the lie of liberal tolerance. Liberals are the most intolerant people in the world.

Arab muslims, the paragon of peacefulness, civility and tolerance, shot at some Jews in Denmark.

It seems that every time I mull some idea around in my head, someone else also thinks of the idea, then writes about it. This time, it's about a constitutional amendment to recognize Islam for the non-religion that it is.

Governor Gregoire of Washington State wants to deport jailed illegal aliens.

Of what use are "good" nazis, communists or muslims to the world if they don't stop the fanatics from among their number?

Yet another failure of the wonderfully brilliant and communist style british universal health care system.

News about Israel's Self-Defense Activities

Unleash Israel - It's the only way Israel will secure peace.

Gaza News Roundups: JackBeNimble; The Patriot Room

Further proof of Israel's focus on military targets: the Israeli military has been calling Gazan families to tell them that local military targets will be hit soon so the civilians have time to leave before the attack takes place.

Palestinian liar cut off by news reporter when she tries to cover up for Hamas' atrocities.

Incoming EU President supports Israel - "Why am I one of the few that have expressed understanding for Israel? ... I enjoy the luxury of telling the truth."

Israeli Hospital Cares for Sick and Injured Gaza Arabs.

I was wondering when this would happen... Hamas is shooting "collaborators" suspected of aiding Israel.

PLO and Fatah say that Hamas is to blame for Palestinian deaths. A leading Saudi newspaper is also blaming Hamas. Even Hezbollah isn't getting involved.

Egypt refuses to open Gaza border unless Palestinian Authority is in control

American traitor (aka Cynthia McKinney) refused entrance to Gaza - and gets her boat nearly sunk in the process.

Cutting through the Gaza Conflict BS - an analysis of the conflict from someone who knows very little about it from either side. Quite insightful.

How the Hamas thugs are terrorizing innocent Israeli civilians. Videos of the aftermath of attacks against Israel. Life in the shadow of attacks from Gaza.

Kucinich wants U.N. to investigate Israel - what a dhimmi dummy.

How to answer lies spouted by Israel's critics.

And of course, the dumbocrats are completely disoriented about the whole Israel vs Hamas thing. They can't make up their minds how they want to respond.

Our prayers for safety go out to the Israeli military, to the Innocent Israeli civilians who are being unjustly targeted by Hamas muslim terrorists, and to those in Gaza who are innocent and want the Hamas muslim terrorists to leave.

Today's News Rollup 2008-12-30

Survey sez: Palin is most desirable celeb neighbor.

More anti-AGW articles: Atlanta Daily World and UK Telegraph. And with so much evidence disproving AGW, there are still some idiots who think that 2009 will be the warmest on record in spite of a continuing La Nina effect. And they're coming to the realization that CO2 is not driving temperature changes. And a funny thing happened on the way to the (climate) forum - "how many times can you say that this time the science is now finally proven, without being laughed at?"

Obama's plans for Hope and Change being ruined by Hamas - poor little baby. Boo hoo!

Criticism of Caroline Kennedy is Unfair? - another Boo frigging Hoo moment. Caroline Kennedy is imminently incompetent and unqualified to be a Senator. My shoelaces are probably more qualified than princess Caroline. Stooooopid MSM crybabies.

Joe the Plumber laughs at reporter's "fairness" - good for Joe.

Republicans ripping Bush over bailouts because they're socialist. Bush did a lot of good things. He also did some bad things. But of all the stuff he's done, the one thing that will truly tarnish him is his support for the idiotically stupid bailouts.

More on the bailouts: The bailout is in need of a bailout.

Obama's Economic Stimulus package - like calling pigs to the trough.

We Support Israel

We support Israel's right to defend itself against Palestinian Muslim Terrorists.

Israel has the right to exist. Israel's people have the right to live in peace. Israel has the right to defend itself against attackers, whether those attackers are sovereign nations or terrorists.

It is shameful for the United Nations and the world's governments to not recognize Israel's basic right to self-defense.

When the Palestinians are ready to throw out the Hamas murderers and other terrorists, and when the Palestinians are ready to recognize and respect Israel's rights, and when the Palestinians are ready to live in peace with Israel, then we will be willing to respect the Palestinians' rights as well. Until that time, and as long as the Palestinians continue to support the muslim terrorists who constantly attack Israel, then the Palestinian people are just as guilty of the murders and terrorism that Hamas perpetrates in their name.

We also support other bloggers who support Israel, including Atlas Shrugs and Red State.

Israel vs Hamas Terrorists

Comprehensive and ongoing analysis of the situation by the Patriot Room. Another page with lots of links to relevant articles at Free Republic.

Hamas Chief of Staff may be among the dead in Gaza.

Most of the world condemns Israel's attacks Fortunately there are three nations that had the guts to recognize Israel's right to self-defense: USA, Germany and Australia. Reuters even reports that The USA specifically blames Hamas for breaking the ceasefire. Curiously, Hamas asked Norway to intervene, but Norway declined. On the other hand, the Vatican and the UK, long silent while Hamas was sending rockets into Israel, suddenly decide to call for a cease-fire.

Peaceful muslim blows up children because they don't want girls to go to school. Peaceful, cuddly muslim criminals injure Jewish babies in stoning attacks (and another reference to the same story by Atlas Shrugs) - these peacful, innocent people are so desperate to demonstrate how peaceful they really are, so when they run out of bullets they resort to stones.

Hear, O Israel - An article with pictures about life in Israel under the threat of rocket attack from Gaza.

Muslim murderers fire indiscriminately into Israel. Rocket attacks against Israel

On the 3rd day: Israel continues their justified attacks against the Hamas murderers. Some noteworthy points from this article: most of the dead are muslim militant murderers, very small numbers of civilian casualties, palestinians broke through the fence to Egypt and the Egyptians fired on those trying to get through, PA urges Hamas (not Israel) to stop fighting, Egyptian foreign minister blames the situation on Hamas, Israel clearly targeting military installations. All of these points clearly indicate that Israel is fully justified in their defensive operations.

Hamas' moves backfire on them - I would especially like to point out the analysis at the later part of this article focusing on the power struggle between Egypt/Saudi Arabia and Iran/Syria. Puts a little more perspective into the situation.

A Time to Fight - nice editorial discussing the rationale of the fight from the Israeli perspective. It's good to see that the press in Israel is supportive of their government, as opposed to the disgusting MSM in the USA who constantly bash anyone who thinks it would be honorable to defend our nation from terrorists.

Possible escalation into Lebanon?. Possible land incursion into Gaza?

Why Israel was wrong to attack Hamas - they should have gone after Iran instead. Another interesting spin on the topic, and a thoughtful analysis.

In contrast, the Wimp-in-Chief is definitely not popular with the troops. Here's another article with a picture.

And speaking of change, here's what change looks like after one year of the Carter administration. Obama is looking more and more like Carter's second administration.

And as for health care... seems like Bush actually improved affordability of health care without getting into the morass of nationalized health care.

Israel Defends Itself

News roundup of important articles relating to Israel defending itself against a bunch of murdering, cowardly thugs, aka Hamas.

Hamas finally got the fight that they so desperately wanted.

MSM parroting Hamas' inflated civilian casualty figures

Abbas and PA wanted Israel to attack Hamas - but condemned the attacks afterwards. Of course, they are more than willing to take over Gaza after the IDF clears out Hamas. Self-serving leeches.

From Atlas Shrugs: Israel defends the Jews; Hamas' Hannukah; Pious muslims want to kidnap Jewish IDF girls - gotta love Pamela's articles.

Israel Strikes Back

And another article titled Israel Strikes Back

The BBC inadvertently reveals that Israel's bombing was highly accurate.

Israel vows to expand air strikes - as is their right when defending themselves. You know, I find it curious that we allow people to kill home invaders in the name of self-defense, but the media screeches so loudly in condemnation when Israel attempts to defend itself.

Too many in the world are saying that Israel is acting with disproportionate response. But there is an excellent case to be made in favor of how Israel is responding.

A few thoughts about Guantanamo

Guantanamo. The Liberals and ACLU would love to shut the place down. During the presidential campaign, Obama promised that he would.

Then, suddenly, after the election, Obama flip-flopped on this issue (as he did on so many other issues), and decided that he might not close Gitmo down, after all.

Meanwhile, the US Government has asked other countries if they would like to take the detainees. But why? That only shuffles the lot of them around. So instead of being imprisoned without trial in Guantanamo, they'll be imprisoned without trial elsewhere. What's the difference?

Besides, if the Liberals want to shut down Guantanamo, wouldn't they also like to free the detainees as well? I mean, what's the real issue here... is it Guantanamo itself, or is it the prisoners being held without trial?

If it's merely the issue of holding people at Gitmo, then the Liberals are being rather hypocritical about the whole issue (of course, when have the Liberals NOT been hypocritical about every single cause that they take up?). Holding people without trial in Guantanamo is just as good as holding them without trial elsewhere.

But if the Liberals' issue is holding people without trial, then why aren't they crying and screaming about the plan to move the detainees to other countries' prisons? And when did you hear any of the Liberals give a peep about those detainees who were released to Russia and subsequently tortured? Seems the Russians know how to treat their detainees.

And Poland... when asked if they would take the detainees, they said they could consider it, but added that the detainees would be better off in Guantanamo as conditions in Polish prisons aren't anywhere near as nice as at Guantanamo... if you can call Guantanamo nice.

And as for releasing the detainees, as the ACLU seems to want, considering that some of the detainees who have previously been released have already returned to their nice comfy, socially responsible jobs as terrorists, this doesn't seem to be that good of an idea. Unless, of course, members of the ACLU would like for these cute, innocent little terrorists to move in with them... Yeah, didn't think so.

Of course, there is another option that someone suggested to me privately... put the detainees on some tiny, remote island somewhere and then use the island as a military target range... for nuclear weapons.

Financial Armageddon for Liberals - while the rest of the USA has to suffer for the Liberals' stupidity.

College teaches class in running a Hedge Fund

We already know that the guy in charge of the Minnesota recount has been bought. Here's evidence of his corruption: Inconsistencies in ballot allocations.

Property values plunge, but property taxes might not - "Might Not"? More like "didn't". Property values in the area where I live have gone down by about 6% (yes, I know, much less than the national average), but my property tax bill for this year was up 2%, partly because the county's valuation of my house and property increased. Need we say the words "greedy", "corrupt" and "government"?

First it was Christmas lights, and now... Christmas Dinner causes Global Warming. What's really funny about this article is that it highlights one of the hypocrisies of the AGW crowd... rotting food generates 20 times more "greenhouse gasses" than cars! DUH!

And more on the AGW foolishness: Faster Climate Change Feared. Yup. Fear-mongering again. There is so little real science in this article, and even when they do mention science, what they say is incorrect. Most of the article is full of lies, misrepresentations, misinterpretations and just plain fear-mongering.

And, of course, the AGW-alarmists are also completely ignoring the situation on the ground. A recent example: Lake Superior has iced over earlier than ever in recent memory.

California and New York Going Bust? - As with the automakers, it's the Unions' fault.

Another modest proposal - separate the nation into two parts - conservative and liberal - then see which part succeeds.

The problem with Obama's Infrastructure Plan - besides the fact that it's a socialist behemoth, that is.

Muslims are starving Children in the name of Allah. Of course, Islam has a long history of using force against peaceful people (also known as non-muslims).

Left-biased NYT ignores op-ed critical of Ayers - No better than Pravda during commie times. Even the White House says that NYT is guilty of Gross Negligence. What an understatement. All things considered, guilty of treason wouldn't be unreasonable to say about NYT and the rest of the leftist MSM. I particularly like the last sentence in that article:

The New York Times’ "reporting" may be compared to the way a totalitarian state dispenses "justice" - verdict first, then the evidence.

The guy in charge of the Minnesota recount was bought - by ACORN and Soros, no less.

Shut down TARP (the bailout fund) - Excellent idea. Of course, it would have been easier if TARP had never been passed in the first place.

Another prominent scientist speaks out against global warming alarmism - So much for the so-called "consensus" in favor of global warming. After all, who's going to stop a little science from getting in the way of a bloated government program to spread the wealth around (into politicians' pockets)?

Obama's economic plans are faulty - he says he has "big" plans. About the only things to get big under his plan are taxes and government bloat.

Brilliant. Sarah Palin: Conservative of the Year Well deserved. And an excellent article by Ann Coulter, by the way. They also interviewed the Sarahcuda as part of their report. The interview is very revealing of Sarah's character. Go Sarah!

Where's the Bailout Money?

The Transparent President - It is typical of communists to loudly proclaim that they're going to do things like be the most transparent president. And yet when it comes to actual practice, their actions are nowhere near what they said they would do. Obummer is doing things in the typical communist fashion.

Climate Risk Insurance - Whatever happened to plain, old-fashioned philanthropy? Oh, yeah. That's right... the libtards think they should steal the money so they can redistribute it according to their own agenda. Stoooooopid libtards.

Violent Riots in Sweden - Muslims, of course. As if there were any doubt. And they call it the religion of Peace. That's like saying that Hitler's Nazis were the political party of Peace. Of course, raping a Christian convert to get her to return to Islam just proves to the world how nice and cuddly the muslims really are.

Dissent is Patriotic... as long as you don't try it against Democrats Yup. It's as I've always said: Double standards are spelled D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T.

Arrogant Concensus He's only 22 and yet he has more scientific intelligence than Al Gore. But then again, a special needs first grader has more scientific intelligence than Al Gore. Besides, now that it's so cold, Gore's mission is accomplished, yes? Can he stop blathering on and on about global warming now? Please?!?

Modified mortgages re-defaulting at high rates - in other words, people who defaulted then refinanced are much more likely to default again. So why bother letting them refinance?

Cheney says it's Congress' fault that Detroit didn't get a good bailout Huh?!? It's Congress' fault that a group of Senators prevented a horrible mockery of capitalism from being forced onto the American people? Not bloody likely.

Another reason to hate the Global Warming alarmists: the biofuel craze is causing grain prices to skyrocket, and this is causing millions in the third world to starve because they're unable to afford grain.

2008-12-21 Daily News Scan

Biden looking to expand the "Middle Class" whatever that means. The rich comprise less than 1% of the population. The poor less than 20%. How much more can you expand the Middle Class? Sounds to me like Biden is trying to come up with some sort of do-nothing plan so that in the end, the MSM can proclaim by fiat that the Middle Class has expanded! Mission Accomplished!

AP conviently neglects to mention the party affiliation another corrupt politician. Democrat, of course. If it were a Republican, the fact would have been repeated at least once in every single paragraph.

Carbon trading auditors involved in corruption - what's the big deal? Carbon trading is a scam anyway. A company overseeing the scam to make sure that the scam follows the official scamming rules decides to allow comapanies to skirt certain strict scam rules. Yup. That sums it up quite nicely. Seems to me this is the kind of scam that would make Al Gore (the biggest con artist of the 20th century) proud.

Bleeding Heart Tightwads aka Stingy Liberals - the people who preach about caring for the poor, but do nothing to help them. Hint: Liberals think that it's the government's responsibility to help the poor, thus freeing the liberals from the responsibility. Oooooh. There's that "r" word again: responsibility. Seems that just about everything that the liberals do hinges on avoiding personal responsibility for their actions.

Too cold to be anything but global warming - more anti-AGW arguments.

Hussein absolves Emmanuel of wrongdoing. That's like saying that one fox absolves another fox of wrongdoing when the second fox is observed leaving a henhouse where all of the chickens have just been slaughtered. How dumb does Hussein think that we are?

Speculation increasing that Emmanuel will resign - but why would he resign, if, as Hussein so self-righteously blathers, Emmanuel is absolved? How about Hussein resign and spare the country the indignity of suffering through his racist, America-hating liberal Communism?

Auto Bailout was a CYA move Maybe. But it was still a wrong move. Bush had no business getting this country to cover for any company. Shifting the failure to Hussein's watch is selfish and will only cost us more money in the long run.

Congressional Pay - A Modern Modest Proposal

One of the debates going on right now in the world of politics has to do with raises. You know, those pesky little pay increases that everyone wants every so often to keep themselves motivated to do their jobs.

Take me, for example. I work. And once a year, my efforts are evaluated, and if management comes to the conclusion that my activities merit an increase, then I get a raise. Alternatively, if they do not think I'm doing a good job, then I get no pay increase.

The current political firestorm has to do with the raise that Congress granted to themselves. A $4,700 per year raise, to be exact. In case you haven't heard about this yet, here are some excellent articles that talk about it:

Pigs at the Trough by Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs.
Compensation Hypocrisy by Pejman Yousefzadeh of RedState.
Congressional Pay Raises by Buffoon of Democrat=Socialist.
With economy in shambles, Congress gets a raise by Jordy Yager of The Hill
Raise Some Hell by IBD Editorials

While reading through these articles a thought occurred to me: I get evaluated to determine if I get a raise, so why wouldn't Congress get an evaluation to determine if they should get a raise? Instead of Congress voting in their own raises, force Congress to go through some sort of process where they get a performance review, and tie a raise to how well they do in the review.

The more I thought about this, the more sense it made. And while I was thinking these things over, I ran across this article: Congressional Performance: Approval of Congress Drops to Single Digits Again.

This is perfect. There are already polls in place that ask people to evaluate Congress' performance. And, technically, "We the People" are supposed to be managing our Congressmen (a fact that most Senators and Representatives seem to forget the minute that they get elected). We could use these surveys to get a pulse of how well Congress is doing, then link pay updates to their performance.

I was thinking something along these lines: if Congress gets an approval rating of 70% or more, then they get a cost-of-living pay increase. If the approval rating is between 50% and 70%, then Congress gets no change to their pay. If the approval rating is below 50%, then the pay for Congressmen is decreased by 5%.

Maybe this will finally motivate Congress to start doing our bidding.

Oh, and by the way, Sarah Palin (Alaska's Republican governor) turned down a proposed salary increase even though she justly deserved the raise. Now there's someone who truly puts the interests of the people first.

2008-12-20 Today's Interesting Articles

Students suspended for refusing anti-Christian class in Quebec.

Teachers preying on students in school A growing epidemic that is receiving relatively little coverage in MSM. Sure, you hear about this kind of thing, but it doesn't get nearly as much coverage as scandals about priests abusing children.

UAW Surrenders - UAW is so arrogant that they think they can dictate the terms of the bailout. Well, they can't. The loan includes provisions that the UAW refused to accept and now they've accepted it. And all the while they still bellyache about those big, bad, mean Republicans who wouldn't give them their handout. My take is that there should never have been a bailout at all (not even for the financial companies), but enforcing rigid conditions for compliance is at least a good step.

People leaving California faster than they're coming in - Considering that California has one of the most oppressive state tax systems in the nation, I'm not at all surprised.

2008-12-19 Today's News Roundup

So everyone knows that the automakers are getting a bailout and asking "why?". Especially, in light of this expose, the question needs to be asked even louder. It is also highly likely that the bailout will fail. Strangely enough, even the weasel McCain opposes the automaker bailout.

Meanwhile, back in Illinois... Rahm really did talk directly with Blagojevich after all - as if there were any doubt. Also reported in FoxNews and Chicago Sun-Times. In addition, it is now being reported that Blagojevich, knowing that he was under investigation, discussed moving campaign funds elsewhere so he could continue using them. And to top it all off, he tries to pretend that he's innocent. Sounds a lot when Clinton tried to say he didn't have sexual relations with Monica.

Distorting (and correcting) American History - This article was particularly interesting to me since I just finished reading Larry Schweikart's book "48 Liberal Lies About American History" that is mentioned in the article. I would like to add my support. Schweikart's book contains many corrections to false ideas that, unfortunately, even I had come to believe. If you want to know the real truth behind some of America's big historical moments, this book is definitely well worth the read.

Liberals Under the Microscope - We definitely need more microscopes. (Yes, that was a HUGE hint to the MSM)

Climate Crisis = Logic Crisis I just love articles like this that show how utterly and idiotically stupid GoreBull Warmongers are.

And a few end-of-year "Top 10" type articles:

Top 10 Dud Predictions - Strangely enough, most of these relate to false predictions of "Global Warming". Duh. One quote from this article speaks volumes: "Trust the data, not the politicians."

2008-12-18 News of Note

RICO Lawsuit filed against ACORN In other words, not just a regular lawsuit, but a full-blown anti-corruption lawsuit.

"Socialist" rights aren't true rights Something that has been rolling around in the back of my head, and I haven't been able to quite describe it properly. Finally someone has done so. Excellent article.

Sad behavior Yes, sad behavior by certain employees of the Alaska state government, but even sadder behavior by the AP for focusing on Alaska, when this behavior happens in all states - and has done so for as long as state employees have had email.

Dear Andrew - or yet another article slapping down a pseudo-journalist who so desperately needs a slapdown.

The right way to bail out the auto industry - well, this would be a good start. But I think it would be even better to force these people to fess up, then tell them to shove it up their collective arses and take a hike.

Immigrant (ie- Muslim) rape wave in Sweden As if we needed another reason to be thoroughly disgusted with the hateful pseudo-religion of Islam.

Kids badgering their parents - or How the Leftist Libtards are using the education system to brainwash children into helping the Leftist Libtards brainwash adults.

More Leftist Libtardedness but it sure gave me a big bellylaugh. Just a quick note: this is a perfect example of how leftarded greenie weanies use hype and emotion instead of science to get people to buy into their utter stupidity.

Rahm talked directly with Rod OK, I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but it seems that all of the details about this case are coming out little by little as a trickle of information instead of all at once. Why is that? It almost seems planned to me.

Bush finally talks about bankruptcy for Detroit - but wants it to be "orderly", whatever that means. "Under normal circumstances, no question bankruptcy court is the best way", but "These aren't normal circumstances." Whaddya mean, these aren't normal circumstances? The companies make bad decisions, the companies go bankrupt. Period.

Mixed Metaphors in these difficult times - Highly worth the read.

And now... Controversy over Biden's Senate seat - I was wondering when this one would finally show up. With three Senators leaving the Senate to go to work in the White House, it was inevitable that all three would need to be replaced. First there was the scandal over the Illinois governor trying to fill Hussein's seat. Then there's the whole hoopla over who's going to get the Hill-debeest's seat. Even Biden's seat is going through filling-pains. Leave it up to the Dumbocrats to create controversy in every little thing that they do.

And a little humor for today: SantaCorp wants a bailout.

Today's News Roundup - Wednesday 2008-12-17

United Nations IPCC: Oblivious to Science - Big surprise, since the IPCC is a political organization, not a scientific one.

Merry Christmas vs Happy Holidays

Republicans pushing back on insane California budget proposal - What really pisses me off about this story is that the Dumbocrats are trying to say that the Republicans aren't upholding the Constitution. What gobbledygook! How is fiscal responsibility not upholding the constitution?!?

Gearing up for the fight over Energy policy - Someone needs to do some serious headbanging to get those idiot greenie weanies to wake up and smell the CO2.

More on the Arctic ice melting story - notice, in particular, the comment that the ice on ANTARCTICA (where most of the world's land-based ice is located) is actually increasing.

Woman kills rapist who returned to rape her a second time - Justified self defense, plain and simple. The police were right not to charge her with anything.

Hussein is kicking his MSM lapdogs, the very people who elected him. Now they're starting to get a sense of just how hollow B.O. really is. Their own fault for not vetting him more carefully, oh, about 18 months ago. Strangely enough, Some MSM lapdogs think it's OK to be kicked.

5 things to miss about Bush - Now, I'd like to point out (again) that I do not identify myself as Republican. Politically, I would call myself "Independent Conservative". I have yet to find a political party that accurately represents my opinions. And I do not agree with everything that President Bush has done (especially his support of the bailouts). But I will say this: on balance, he is a good President and does not deserve the harsh treatment that he has received. I personally feel that this country would be better off with 4 more years of G.W. Bush than an single minute of Hussein. Kudos to GOP Mike for his thoughtful article.

And in the realm of strange, but true: If you look up the Obama residence in Chicago, the phone number traces back to the Party for Socialism and Liberation

Congressman John Linder to take a stand

Round-Up of Today's Articles 2008-12-16

It's Beethoven's Birthday Today. Personally, Beethoven is my favorite composer, and I especially like his first symphony. So, here's to you, Ludwig!

NASA: 2 Trillion Tons of Ice Have Melted Since 2003 - Based on a 5-year study. Big whoop-dee-doo! Maybe NASA forgot that there was a Medieval Warm Period in which temperatures were much higher than they are now, and in which Greenland was so warm that a large colony of Vikings lived quite successfully in a farming environment for nearly 200 years. Try doing that today. Too cold.

Illinois Democrats Recognize They Are Toast - "Toast" is putting it extremely nicely.

Poll says that majority opposes bailout - So why don't those cretins in Congress get the message? Oh, yeah, as this article says, the MSM buries the news. More reason to hate and revile the MSM. However, the Wall Street Journal reports that Bankruptcy Is the Perfect Remedy for Detroit and they are 100% correct.

More MSM tricks - making excuses for Hussein before he even takes office.

Gay rights or Gay Reich - Considering how hitlerian they act, "Gay Reich" is a perfect description.

Who throws a shoe? Honestly! You fight like a woman! - Excellent commentary on the shoe-thrower in Iraq.

Sinise: A Man for all Services - A true patriot receives a well-deserved honor.

Republicans propose budget cuts in California - I would call this a good starting point. More and deeper cuts are definitely needed.

Dissing Palin - Yup. They dissed Reagan, too. So it's not surprising that they'd bend over backwards to trash Palin in every conceivable way.

Democrats think that 55% of Americans (and 53% of Union workers) are unpatriotic - What do you expect from a bunch of leftarded moonbats?

Unions Threaten Riots If No Bailout - Dude. Bring it on! Totally. Especially since 53% of your own members think that the bailout is bad. WTF are you guys thinking?

A Tale of Two Churches - Wasilla Bible and Trinity United.

The fox watches over the henhouse

Anatomy of a Worldwide Swindle - Global Warming, of course.

Modified Bible texts: The 23rd Psalm, and the 10 Commandments

Joe the Plumber disses McCain and praises Palin. Good for Joe. I mean, really. Can you believe that McCain goes on TV and says he won't support Palin for President? After all she did for his sorry, incompetent, useless... Ahem. Don't get me started.

Alternate take on McCain's dumping on Palin: Maybe it's a good thing. With how much of a dork McCain is, it's better that Palin doesn't get tainted by his endorsement.

What's the sound of Corporate Shoulders Shrugging? - Companies moving overseas. This is what the libtards get when they constantly harp on about how corporations are the villians.

Random Ramblings for Today

Democrats - they were the party that desperately clung to slavery. In spite of abolition, they haven't changed a bit. After the Civil War, they came up with Jim Crow laws, then when those were declared unconstitutional, they come up with Welfare. Slavery by any other name is still slavery. And Democrats are still the biggest slavery pimps in the world.

Al Gore said today, "The Polar Ice Cap will disappear in 5 years." REALLY?!? Take a look at the animations at this web site. These show satellite imagery of the Artic Ice caps from the period 1978 through 2007. Any 4th grader will look at these images and immediately come to the realization that Al Gore is a complete and utter moron.

Several people have said that in spite of any disagreements that we have with Hussein, that we should support him anyway for the sake of unity. I disagree. And Teddy Roosevelt disagrees as well. Here's a quote from the Teddy Bear himself:

To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or anyone else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else.

Day without a Gay

The idea of "Day without a Gay" sounds good to me. Maybe the rest of us will get a bit of peace and quiet for a change.

Come to think of it, maybe a day is not nearly enough. How about Week without a Gay... or Month without a Gay? Oh, shoot, why don't we just go whole hog and propose "Lifetime without a Gay"? That works for me.

Now before any of you gays start your stupid "hatemongering" accusations, how about you take a look at your own hate. Seriously. I don't shove my lifestyle in your face, so stop shoving your lifestyle in my face. You people are so obsessed with your gayness that calling in gay would be about the same as calling in sick. Mentally, that is.

Get a life.

December 7

This day's article is a dedication to those brave men and women who, throughout our nation's history, have dedicated their lives, fortunes and sacred honors to this beautiful country and its people. Pearl Harbor represents a terrible event in our history, but it also represents a symbolic flag around which we can gather to remember all of our brave soldiers who died in that attack as well all of our soldiers who have served with honor even today.

I have a nephew who is currently serving in Iraq. He is a medic, trained to save lives. When he went to join the army, he was told up-front that he would likely be sent to Iraq. And he still volunteered. He is one of many thousands in our armed services here and around the world who know the risks of what they're getting into and still do it.

Today is dedicated to the memory of those killed at Pearl Harbor. But I would also like to dedicate today to our nation's finest who wear the uniform with pride today.

Not throw money at the problem? What's he gonna do instead... BURN MONEY?!?

One of the big "news" events for today is Hussein's weekly address to the nation (FauxNews reported on it in in this article). Not only are his comments full of empty blather, there are a lot of suspect comments.

One of the things he said is "we won't just throw money at the problem". What exactly does that mean? Hasn't the government already been throwing money at problems for years in the form of welfare. Has any of it helped? No. All it's accomplished is creating generation after generation of welfare bastards whose only accomplishment in life is to breed yet another generation of welfare bastards for the government to throw even more money at.

Here's some more empty words:

"We'll measure progress by the reforms we make and the results we achieve -- by the jobs we create, by the energy we save, by whether America is more competitive in the world."

Give me a break. By any measure, Hussein's progress in any of those areas will be measured in the negative. The only results will be lost jobs, wasted energy and a serious loss of competitiveness. Especially since he wants to "save or create" 2.5 million jobs! And exactly how does he propose to measure "saving" 2.5 million jobs? All he would have to do is pull some random number out of his (empty) hat and, voila, 2.5 million jobs mysteriosly saved!

And don't even get me started on his comment about sending our kids to "21st Century Schools". A better description would be "19th Century Karl Marx Brainwashing Centers".

And what about his comment to "expand Internet access in communities" and "connect hospitals online"? What's up with that? What exactly does he mean by "expand Internet access in communities". And hospitals are already connected online in so many different ways that his comments make no sense whatsoever.

The whole speech is filled with lame ideas, half truths and just plain stupidity.

Not surprising, since that's what Hussein campaigned on.

I'm reminded of these words by Ronald Reagan: "The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help."

News Roundup: Thursday 2008-12-04

The left is obsessed yet again with shooting the messenger.

Rules for non-military

Pakistan attacks Taliban - Too Little. Too Late.

UAW Grants Concessions - Too Little. Too Late.

Bipartisan commission recommends strikes against Iran and N Korea The liberal weanies must be squirming over this one. And dare I say it... Too Little. Too Late.

OIC wants the press to stop using "Islam" when talking about Islamic terrorists - The press should call a spade a spade and the OIC can shove it where the sun don't shine.

Ignorance Reigns Supreme

Or maybe ignorance doesn't reign supreme Major blow against terror financing.

Hussein citizenship in the news - Maybe the most interesting part of this article is not so much the article itself, but the comments: "Online Pravda? Is this an arm of the MSM? No, it’s more accurate and trustworthy." and "Anyone see any flying pigs today? I NEVER thought the day would come when PRAVDA was more willing to tell the truth than the 'free' press."

Palin is right (about the Global Warming Scam)

Of the four candidates in the last election, only one voiced opposition to the "accepted truth" of global warming: Sarah Palin. Even though she was ridiculed and derided for not believing in the scam, she held her ground.

And she was right. Scientist after scientist has come out in opposition to Al Gore's lies. The US Senate has published yet another long list of articles by these scientists whose articles and publications thoroughly debunk Global Warming (part 2 of the list of articles).

Repeat after me: Gore is wrong. Palin is right.

One Word: Estoppel

HOLD THE PRESS!!!!!!!! Campbell Brown upbraids Hussein for not answering questions. And what questions would those be, Campbell? The ones that you should have asked months ago? The ones that you and your other lamestream media liberal weanies have avoided asking for so long? If you didn't ask these questions earlier, you have no right to bellyache about it now. It's called estoppel. You established a pattern of avoiding the hard questions all this time and in so doing you gave up the right to ask those hardball questions now.

Yes. Hussein should answer hardball questions. But you and your fellow pressitutes got him into the habit of expecting easy questions. So it's your own fault that Hussein feels like he can ignore you.

News Roundup: Wednesday 2008-12-03

I wonder if the MSM ignoring their responsibility to report the truth in a fair manner is in any way responsible for this: Newspapers' debt and bankruptcies could lead to several cities not having news papers by 2010. Good riddance. If they can't print the truth, they deserve their miserable deaths.

Biden feeling a bit left out because Palin is getting more attention than he is.

Congratulations to Saxby Chambliss for his win in Georgia. NewsMax gives Nice post-election review - Summary: Thank you, Palin. Some commentaries suggest that Palin's visit alone gave Saxby a 5% boost.

Suddenly the American economy can't handle Hussein's planned government expansion program just because we're in a recession??? More like: the American economy can't (and shouldn't) EVER handle the weight of Hussein's planned government expansions.

Hussein's supposed birth hospital claims that he and his mother were never there.

And here is an interesting article: Even the Dumbocrats are scared of an expanded Dumbocrat congressional majority.

Mortgage applications surge. Good news for the economy? Not sure, but we'll find out soon enough.

Enough. Agreed.

Today's Top News

Automaker bailout unpopular - How about: ALL bailouts are unpopular.

Hillary Selection Calls Obama's Respect for the Constitution Into Question - Ummmmm, yeah. More like Everything that Obama does calls Obama's respect for the Constitution into Question.

Condi Rice plays for the Queen - Cultured, Classy.

MSM Ignores progress in Iraq - no surprise here.

5th Obama Case Before the Supreme Court - When will Hussein finally realize that this isn't going away?

But of all the stories that I saw today, the biggest is a story that shows that Saddam Hussein had materials for WMDs after all. So Bush was right. He just hid the information so terrorists wouldn't try to steal the material. He preferred to let his own reputation suffer than allow terrorists the possibility of getting access to potentially dangerous weapons.

Humor: Obama On Your Shoulder, and Mumbai Killers didn't get the Obama Memo.

Today's Rundown of Important News Articles

WND, Chuck Norris: The most overlooked story of 2008. OK, so I'm not a big fan of Chuck Norris movies (or martial arts movies in general), but the guy makes a good argument here.

RedState: The Sarahcuda in Georgia - to my delight and to the chagrin of liberals (which I find amusing), Palin draws huge crowds.

A second study has now been released that links abortions with mental disorders. Women feeling guilty for murdering their unborn children? What a concept.

Pajamas Media: Obamamania on the wane - What?!? No 4-year lovefest? And Hussein hasn't even been inaugurated yet.

MRC Cyber Alerts: 5 more articles about MSM leftbias - As if we needed convincing... The problem is, the media has already admitted bias, but they haven't changed their ways.

And, as if it weren't enough for the MSM scumbags to blatantly campaign in favor of Hussein, now they're trying to give him credit for winning the war in Iraq.

The Hussein Citizenship issue is starting to be commented on more and more in the MSM. Five articles today (that I have found): Miami Herald, Philadelphia Bulletin, AOL, Christian Science Monitor and Lexington (Kentucky) Herald-Leader. And that's not to mention the ad in the Chicago Tribune from the We The People Foundation.

Some pretty deep thoughts here: The Blood of Patriots and Tyrants.

One of the most thoughtful and interesting articles that I found today: A comparison between the rise of Naziism in Germany and today's rise of radical Islam.

And a little humor to end the day: Random Observations and the DUmmie FUnnies..
