I'm not surprised, of course, and I agree that the people in the Oval Office are not what Americans thought they were getting when they elected Obama. There's mounting evidence all over the place that the "Stimulus", which I said was a pile of socialist poo, is a complete and utter waste. Beset by fraud, waste and corruption, its only effect is to put America more into debt.

Mark Steyn has an excellent editorial he published recently detailing some of the waste that he has seen personally. However, one of the most significant items in his article is pointing out the fact that America now has the third highest debt to GDP ratio in the world, surpassed only by Japan and Italy.

It's also interesting to note that while America still languishes in a recession due to Obama's irresponsible and misguided fiscal policies, the rest of the world has already come out of the recession and their economies are growing. Why? Because they didn't have stimulus packages.

Can't Pull the Plug on Granny? Do the Internet Instead

Leftist Liberals just can't understand a simple "no", can they? A bill giving the President the power to pull the plug on the Internet was already killed in Congress. But, like cockroaches, the liberals just keep coming. They've introduced the bill yet again.

Would they like it if the President had the power to shut off all TV, Radio and newspapers? Well, OK, the left would dearly love to do all of those things if it meant preventing the truth from getting out.

The 9.4% "official" unemployment rate is misleading because it only counts people who are currently receiving unemployment benefits, but does not include people who no longer receive benefits, people who are underemployed, and others who have simply dropped off the grid.

According to a Federal Reserve official, the real unemployment rate for the USA is more like 16%.

Beck Boycott Backfires

Apparently the boycott that Color Of Change is trying to run against Glenn Beck isn't working quite as they hoped. NewsMax reports that a large wave of support for Beck is causing advertisers to deny that they have withdrawn advertising from Beck's show.

In fact, if anything, those advertisers who are removing advertising are doing so for all political commentary shows, not just Beck's. And since Beck is one of the biggest news shows out there, this is going to hurt the liberal MSM much more than it will hurt Beck.

I guess the liberals didn't quite figure on that little piece of turnabout.

What's really interesting, however, is that Color Of Change is selling T-Shirts in support of the guy who called Bush racist. Hmmm... a bit hypocritical of them to do that, ya think?

Obama has said several times that Republicans have not offered any ideas for health care reform. Not suprisingly, the MSM picks up on the lie and repeats it ad nauseum.

The truth is, at least three alternatives have been proposed.

It comes as no surprise that Democrats are suddenly sneaking in an additional $2 Trillion into the deficit as quietly as possible. In other words, overnight they're adding four times more to the deficit than Bush did over a period of 8 years.

With the beating they're taking over their "Health" care bill, I can see why they would try to slip this in under the radar on Friday at the end of day, hoping that no one pays any attention.

Hey Obama! Get Out of the Pulpit!

Obama is now trying to strong-arm churches into pushing his "Hell Care" plan.

Strange thing for him to do when he hasn't hardly gone to church (if at all) since the inauguration. Strange thing for him to do since pastors are forbidden from preaching politics from the pulpit. Strange thing for him to do since he hasn't even read the bills and doesn't know what's in them. Strange thing for him to do when he insists that America isn't a Christian nation any more. Strange thing for him to do when he opposes Christians' stance on abortion, but wants them to support his stance on health care. Strange thing for him to do when he insulted people who "cling to their guns and religion". Strange that he asks for Jewish support while insulting Israel and throwing them to the dogs.

Instead of trying to force on Americans something we don't want and shouldn't have, he should take a hard look at his own policies and realize just how dangerous they really are.

Hey Barry, did you ask your good buddy Jeremiah to preach this from the pulpit, too? I can just imagine one of his sermons: "If you don't support this health care bill, then God D*mn the US of K.K.K. A"

Yet another liberal lie exposed... seems the Health Care system in the USA isn't faring so poorly as liberals would have us believe. According to the Center for Disease Control, Americans' life expectancy is increasing and is now at a new high.

Cash for Clunkers Goes 'Clunk'

Many people (including myself) are arguing that Government shouldn't be running our Health Care system in the United States (as well as other programs, of course). There are many reasons why the government should keep its nose out of everybody's business.

Among those myriad reasons is that the government is incapable of running health care well.

How do we know this? Take a look at Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, TARP, Stimulus, etc.

In fact, the government can't even run a simple program like Cash For Clunkers properly.

Health Care is a matter of Life and Death. If the government can't be trusted with something as simple as Cash For Clunkers, they have absolutely no business at all trying to take over Health Care.

Liberals: No Government-Run Health Care, No Bill

For once I totally agree with the liberals on this one. There should be no government-run health care, and there should be no bill.

Oh, wait, that's not what the liberals were really saying, was it?

In a FoxNews article, liberals are saying that if government-run health care is taken out of the bill, then they won't support the bill.

Oh, poor little crybabies. They have the presidency and both houses of Congress. Why are they throwing a tantrum? They should be able to ram anything they want down America's throats.

Except that the politicians want to get re-elected, and they know that if they support yet another irresponsible bill, they will be in trouble.

So, no government-run health care, no bill. If the liberals can't craft a bill that presents true health care reform (which is NOT defined as "the government takes over the health care system"), then there shouldn't be a bill at all.

How about we focus on what's really wrong with the system and fix those things. Putting the government in charge is not the answer.

Patriots Carry Guns while Liberals Wet Their Pants

I enjoyed reading an article in FoxNews about protesters exercising their rights to carry guns outside the venue where Obama was giving a speech.

The reactions of the liberals quoted in the article gives a good indication of just how desperate they are to lie and twist the truth. Here's a quote: "When you start to bring guns to political rallies, it does layer on another level of concern and significance. It actually becomes quite scary for many people. It creates a chilling effect in the ability of our society to carry on honest communication."

This person couldn't be more wrong. The only people for whom this behavior becomes "scary" are people who are trying to take away Americans' freedom. And as for carrying on honest communication, there is little or no honest communication coming from Obama or Congressional leaders. On the contrary, these patriots are trying to bring honest communication back to the table.

Besides, I would say that the wild rampaging mobs that the liberals frequently stage have much more of a chilling effect on the political landscape because, unlike the peaceful gun-toting patriots, the liberal mobs engage in real violence.

Probably the most telling part of the entire article was near the end where one liberal is quoted as saying that the gun-carrying patriots create a distraction for the Secret Service, then the Secret Service spokesman is quoted as saying that armed demonstrators had little impact at all on the Secret Service's activities.

Yet another liberal lie exposed.

Fox News: Canadian Health Care 'Imploding'

Few people familiar with how Nationalized Health Care really works were surprised today when Fox News reported that Canada's Health Care System is 'Imploding'. Anyone who has even the smallest understanding of basic economics can easily see that government-run health care just doesn't work.

As the head of Canada's Medical Association said, "We all agree the system is imploding, we all agree that things are more precarious than perhaps Canadians realize."

Unfortunately, the Canadians had to learn this hard lesson by experience. Will America be smart enough to learn this lesson by proxy?

Sarah Palin, the Peoples' Choice

I really enjoyed the article titled Like Shooting Moose In a Barrel.

Good analysis of the showdown between the moose-huntin' gal from Wasilla and the snobbish Harvard rube currently stinking up the White House.

Clearly, Sarah is the People's choice. Not the lobbyists, not the RNC or the DNC, not the special interest groups and certainly not the president.

Palin: 1, Obama: 0

The Wall Street Journal agrees with me that Palin Won the 'Death Panel' round against Obama in the Health Care debate.

The fact that the Usurper-in-Chief was forced to respond to her comment in his staged 'Town Hall' event, the fact that even liberal presstitutes are admitting that this part of the bill is problematic, and the fact that the Senate quietly removed the 'Death Panel' section from their edition of the bill (I still don't know how they could remove it if it hasn't been written yet); all three of these show that one woman who speaks the truth has a lot of influence.

Here's to Sarah speaking a whole lot more of the truth.

Oregon's Misery Rate: 24%

And the Dumb-ocrats in the Legislature are trying to make things worse.

According to official unemployment figures, Oregon's unemployment rate is a mere 12.2%. Second highest in the nation, by the way.

However, the Portland Tribute reports that this number doesn't reflect the true situation: nearly one in four Oregon workers is unable to find full-time employment. A more accurate statistic is that 23.8% of Oregonians are either unemployed, or underemployed - the worst in the nation.

So, in the middle of a recession, and the worst underemployment rate in the nation, do you think that a responsible government would raise taxes on both individuals and businesses (including a minimum business tax rate that is based on a companies REVENUES rather than its PROFITS)? Well, that's what the cretins in charge of the Oregon Legislature are trying to do.

No wonder businesses are leaving.

But as the article quotes an Oregon resident: "What if things are worse, much worse, than we are being told?"

Sarah Palin Is Right Re: 'Death Panels'

In a quiet move, the Senate has removed the 'Death Panels' section from their version of the Hell-Care Bill. Wait a minnit... how can they remove something from a bill that hasn't even been written yet?

This little-publicized act proves Palin right. Although this particular section of the bill does not explicitly create 'Death Panels', government-run health care will lead to that point, even if unintentionally. As Senator Grassley (R-IA) correctly stated, "the provision had been dropped from consideration because it could be misinterpreted or implemented incorrectly".

But if they blather about 'Evil Conservatives' who raise their voices at Town Hall meetings, then they don't get to go into extatic paroxysms of joy over their beloved's Hell-Care bill.

Arrogant Politician Doesn't Get It

Arlen, the Congress-traitor from Pennsylvania, showed yet again why he just doesn't understand what's going on, and should step down because he is no longer representing the people he was elected to represent.

Commenting on anger expressed at a Town Hall meeting yesterday, today Specter said "There's more anger out there now than I have ever seen before. And I think the anger is caused by so many people having lost their jobs and (being) worried about losing their health insurance."

Is Specter able to read peoples' minds and decide for them why they're angry? Has he been listening at all to what they're telling him? They're not angry because they lost their jobs or are worried about losing their health insurance. It's MUCH, MUCH bigger than that, and Specter is just sticking his head in the sand.

This is about freedom. This is about keeping the government where it belongs, and that is definitely NOT in the medical business.

How typical of Democrats. They not only think they know what's best for us, they think they know what we're thinking and why we're getting angry. Basically Democrats are very undemocratic. Polls show that a majority of people don't want Obama's health care plan. But the Democrats are ignoring reality. They ignore the will of the people because they think they know what's best, but they don't.

Death Panels in the Health Care Bill?

It's amazing to me when people start criticizing opponents to Obama's Health Care plans, in particular over Sarah Palin's 'Death Panel' quote in her FaceBook message.

The problem I have with this is that most of these people take her 'Death Panel' words out of context, and have not even bothered to read her entire comment in its original context.

One person who didn't take her quote out of context is Glenn Beck in the following video:



Although the video is a little long it is worth watching, and the quote from Sarah Palin comes after midway.

To be clear: Sarah did not say that a 'Death Panel' is in the bill. And I do not know anyone who has said so. What she said, and quite truthfully so, is that when governments take over health care, they don't drive down costs, they refuse to pay the cost. And this, eventually, leads to denial of service.

So while nobody wants to actively kill grandma, that's what ends up happening by default because of denial of service. It happens right now in countries with Socialized medicine. And it will happen in America, too, if we adopt Obama's Folly.

Linda Douglass admits the White House is Breaking the Law

The law says that the government is required to keep, store and maintain all communications sent to and from the government. So when Linda Douglass says that the government isn't keeping the records, she's admitting that the White House is violating the law that requires them to keep the records. Either that or she's lying and the White House really is collecting the information - in violation of the other law that says that the government isn't allowed to gather information about people exercising their right to free speech.

According to recent polls, support for The Chosen One's foolish health-care legislation is declining, with 72% now believing that Obama won't be able to enact a deficit-neutral healthcare overhaul. Best Argument Against Government "Health Care"

I've seen a lot of articles talking about why Government-run health care is a bad thing. But I recently ran across an article by Thomas Sewell that is simple, logical and straight to the point:

The biggest question now is, will the Congresstraitors who are supposed to be representing us in Congress actually listen to her and other rational people, and put a stop this fiasco before it's too late?

Liberals Love Bush

During the Bush presidency, liberals and the leftist media created this stereotype of Bush falsely portraying him as racist, fascist, etc

But in looking through all the claims they made against Bush, I find it interesting that everything they bashed Bush for being, he was not. On the other hand, everything they bashed Bush for being, applies much more appropriately to Obama. Obama is a racial opportunist and racist, he uses communist and fascist techniques to collect info on people that disagree with him and tells people to stop talking and get out of the way.

Bush was telling his opponents that this is a free country and democracy and that people are free to disagree with the President. Obama doesn't like dissent and is incapable of handling people who disagree with him. Just today he said that he want his opponents to stop talking and get out of the way. Who is closer to the stereotype that liberals created? Obama. Obama is much more like the manufactured image of Bush. And since the MSM loves Obama, wouldn't that also mean that the MSM loves what they claimed Bush was? And in effect, they would, therefore, love Bush.

Report Yourself and Your Friends to the Authorities!

Comrades! Our Glorious Leader is desperate to ram his Communistic Health Care plan down our throats! It is, after all, for our own good.

To further his purpose, he has appointed a Minister of Propaganda and she wants to know who is spreading misinformation about Dear Leader's Health Care plan. For those who don't know, Comrade Obama has defined misinformation as "any opinion that contradicts his own".

So get to work, comrades! Find out who has been spreading "misinformation" and report them immediately!

Personally, I think that the administration is spreading more misinformation about the health care plan than anyone else. So, I reported Obama to his Minister of Propaganda!

Seriously, though, there are laws against the government collecting this kind of information about people who ware exercising their right to free speech. Not that a few pesky laws ever stopped the Dumb-ocrats from doing anything illegal - as long as it's for the "common good".

Someone forwarded a very funny Flash video to me. When I saw it, I noticed that the URL shows that it's on the web site of the ACLU.

What?!? The ACLU is now attacking Obama? You've got to be kidding me.

Then I noticed that the web page that the Flash video is on is one that attacks Bush! BUSH!!! You've got to be kidding me! I knew that the ACLU is more appropriately named NotACLUe, but this video is much better applied to Obama.

What Dems Really Want to Do with Healthcare

In spite of all of the administration's "promises" that their "public option" insurance is their primary goal with the health care bill, several Democrats have spilled the beans on what they really want to achieve with their mammoth...

They really want private insurers to go away.

Apparenly one White House staffer has been charged with trying to debunk these rumours as having been taken out of context, but there is a video of Obama saying exactly this, and it's clear that his words are not being taken out of context.

Show me one thing that the government has ever taken over from the private sector and then done a better job of running it. Just one thing. It's never happened. So let's not go down that path.

Obligatory Sebelius and Specter Being Booed Post

OK, so a lot of people have already seen this by now. It's Specter and Sebelius getting unwelcome feedback from a crowd of people who don't like the Healthcare plans going through Congress right now.

But what I think is pretty significant is not so much them getting booed as Sebelius' comment at the end - don't criticize Specter for not reading the bill when the bill hasn't even been written yet!

Whoa! Hold on a goshdurned moment! The bill is already making its way through Congress and it hasn't even been written yet?!?

Congress is stooping to new lows, voting on a bill that hasn't been written!

Yet Another Chapter in the Eligibility Saga

Apparently someone got their hands on what is purporting to be a Certified Copy of Obama's Kenyan Birth Certificate. More details at WND.

Although there are several points of suspicion that can be noted about this document, it does not seem to be less authentic that the obvious forgery posted by so-called "Truth" sites.

Is this document for real? I don't know.

The more important question is... If Obama really was born in Hawaii, like he says, why does he spend millions to keep his birth a secret? It makes no sense at all.
