Obama reacts to Fort Hood Shooting

You know this was rather a lame response. He bums around for a couple of minutes in a manner that is inconsistent with the levity of the situation, then finally gets around to announcing the shooting? Not the way a normal Commander-in-Chief would respond to the situation.

Atlas Shrugged pointed out something interesting about the Muslim response from yesterday: "We will not allow anyone to jump to conclusions" - Huh?

I find this whole "don't jump to conclusions" thing a bit of a lark. I mean, seriously, the shooter's name is Nidal Malik Hasan, a muslim name. The shooter was disciplined for trying to proseletize soldiers into the Muslim faith. The shooter was heard to be shouting "Allahu Akbar" during the rampage. The shooter has jihadist muslim materials on his computer.

Exactly what conclusions are people being prevented from jumping to? That the shooter is a radical muslim? That wouldn't be a jumped-to conclusion, that would be an obvious fact. And who does that guy think he is telling people what conclusions they may or may not draw from the situation?

But what was really telling is that today, Obama said almost the same thing - wait for facts before reaching conclusions!

Kind of makes you wonder where Obama got his marching orders from....

Democrats Imploding over "Health Care" Bill

The commies at MoveOn.org have resorted to their natural state of employing marxist tactics and Chicago-style thuggery to intimidate moderate Democrats: they're threatening to run and fund alternative candidates against incumbent moderate Democrats that vote against PelosiNoCare. Wait a minute - weren't the leftists crowing about how the Republican party was imploding because they were excluding moderates? And now they're threatening to exclude moderates from their own ranks? Why is it that leftists are so concerned about the Republican party including moderates, but are so desperate to maintain party purity among Dems? Yes, the word "hypocrisy" immediately springs to my mind as well.

And how would MoveOn.org's tactic work, anyway? Would the incumbent receive funding from the DNC, while the alternative candidate gets funding from MoveOn.org? Hey! That sounds awesome! Splitting their funds and splitting their vote among Democrats so the conservative gets elected! Sounds good to me.

Of course, the threat is hollow anyway, because most of the "moderate" Democrats are from areas that would never elect an extreme leftist of the kind that MoveOn.org would support.

Overall, it's just another sign that the extreme left is getting desperate.

Pelosi's "Health Care" Bill Delayed Again

It would be disingenuous and incorrect to try to call the health care bill "PelosiCare" or "ObamaCare" because there's no real Health Care in the bill. So "PelosiNoCare" or "ObamaNoCare" would be much more appropriate - especially since neither of them really cares about helping Americans anyway.

In fact, whenever it comes to Pelosi, you always have to wonder if you're watching a Clown Show, a Maoist in training or a sub-reptillian intellect straight out of Idiocracy. For example - in spite of all her bravado about being absolutely certain she could get PelosiNoCare passed on Saturday, the House vote has been delayed yet again.

Several reasons are being given, among them that in spite of all their assurances to the contrary, it looks like the Dems really don't have the necessary votes to pass it. No mention, however, of yesterday's Emergency House Call sponsored by Representative Michele Bachman - maybe that was a more significant factor?

A scary point scary given in the article is that in spite of promises to have the full text of the bill publicly available online for at least 72 hours before calling for a vote, Pelosi and her Pirates have added more changes to the bill - in secret. They're not sharing their changes publicly. What a criminal. She's as bad as her colleague Barbara Boxer who pushed a bill through her committee in violation of the rules.

Unemployment Rate Skyrockets

The official unemployment rate is now over 10%. Of course, the real unemployment rate is much higher, because the official unemployment rate doesn't include all unemployed people.

And what is Obama doing about it? Pushing another "Stimulus"! What a total loser. His first "stimulus" is a complete disaster that did more to line the pockets of his cronies than anything else. The economy is not improving BECAUSE OF his big government spending and higher taxes. So why is he spending and taxing more?

Speaking of Unemployment and Stimulus - didn't Obama say that if his first "Stimulus" package were passed that unemployment wouldn't go over 8%?
